In John 10:24 we find three words directed to Jesus Christ; "Tell us plainly." Not one time had Jesus ever spoken in a complicated way, nor in a confusing way. He had never beaten around the bush, or played patty cake with the devil's crowd. Our Lord was always straightforward with answers and His answers were always absolute truth. There was no untruth in our Lord (John 14:6), and there is no untruth, no contradictions, in His Holy Word, the Bible (KJV), not one.

     Certain people followed Jesus continually as He went about preaching and teaching salvation, never satisfied with the Truth (just like today), always questioning, always doubting. Here they look The Lord squarely in the eye and have the audacity to say, "tell us plainly". How pitiful that must have been as God looked on! How could anything have been more plain? The Bible is crystal clear that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and the Saviour of the world. Not one of the Saviours, but THE ONLY ONE. Jesus' answer was, "I told you and ye believed not ..." Sounds just like present time, doesn't it? We wonder how so many could possibly miss the Gospel point in this so called age of higher enlightenment.

     Nevertheless, we all must be plainspoken regarding the things of God (and other things as well). We are not to speak with a forked tongue, or double speak like many politicians, and not mislead and deceive like the false prophets. We ought to be like Jesus and speak plainly.

     I have been asked, "Preacher what do you believe..." point blank, by many, as I go about the Lord's work in our community, regarding some of "today's issues". Issues that have divided many families, churches, mainline denominations, and are being argued by our presidential candidates. (Don't  be misled!) When asked, I try to speak plainly from God's Word. Whether anyone believes God's Word, however, is another matter.  Following are some of the top questions I am constantly asked and the answer given:

                              HOW DO YOU STAND ON HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE?                              100% AGAINST.

                              HOW DO YOU STAND ON SAME SEX UNIONS?                                         100% AGAINST.

                              HOW DO YOU STAND ON THE ABORTION ISSUE?                                    100% AGAINST.

                              HOW DO YOU STAND ON THE TEACHING OF EVOLUTION?                     100% AGAINST.

     Why then are we, against these issues? Because God is against them, 100% AGAINST! It's not a matter of love, because "God so loved the world . . ." It is a matter of TRUTH. The TRUTH is plain also about Heaven and Hell. We know that the answer is found nowhere else but in God's Word. God tells us that there's not many ways to Heaven, but there is only one way and that is by way of Jesus Christ. our Lord spoke plainly on this matter. He said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." How more plainly could those words of truth be?

     We are not against everything in case one would wonder. Indeed not! Plainly, we are 100% against Satan because our God is. We are for souls saved to the glory of God, for truth, for unity, for decency, and for America to turn to God. We enjoy life and thank God for everyday He lets us live.
